Se lleva a cabo “Valencia Poliniza México”, festival de arte urbano que reúne a artistas españoles y mexicanos.

Después de su participación en el Segundo Festival de Arte Urbano Poliniza 2007, realizado el pasado mes de abril en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, España, el Museo Universitario del Chopo realiza Valencia Poliniza México, encuentro cuyo propósito es desarrollar acciones para promover la convivencia y el trabajo de artistas involucrados en la intervención urbana como el graffiti, stencil y sticker, entre otras.
La participación de México, por medio del Museo Universitario del Chopo, en el festival realizado en España, consistió en la presentación del “Colectivo Neza Arte Nel”. En esta ocasión serán invitados un grupo de artistas españoles quienes desarrollarán una pieza de graffiti en gran formato en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (ENAP Xochimilco) para convivir y compartir la experiencia de las artes alternativas con el “Colectivo Neza Arte Nel”, estudiantes y maestros de la escuela. La dinámica consiste en que los participantes forman grupos de tres que, metafóricamente, forman enjambres que polinizan los muros del espacio con su obra. El desarrollo de la pieza se realizará del viernes 28 de septiembre al jueves 4 de octubre. La inauguración será el viernes 5 de octubre a las 12:00 hrs.
Los artistas españoles invitados son: Juan A. Canales (curador), David Mahiques Paredes, Julia Regina Silla Martínez, Víctor Manuel Herrero Aráez, Ricardo Sabater Vidal, Juan A. Canales Hidalgo; por parte de México participa “Colectivo Neza Arte Nel” (Miguel Ángel “Lupus”, Oscar Rivera, Cinthya Jiménez Urbina, Martín Cruz Cuaya “Nitramux”).
El jueves 4 de octubre se llevará a cabo la mesa redonda “Institucionalidad y arte urbano”, con la participación de Joan Bautista Peiró, Vicerrector de cultura de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, España; Ignacio Salazar, Director de la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (ENAP), Gerardo García Luna, de la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas; Juan A. Canales, Comisario del Festival Poliniza, Miguel Ángel “Lupus”, miembro del “Colectivo Neza Arte Nel”, la moderadora será Alma Rosa Jiménez, Directora del Museo Universitario del Chopo. La cita es en el auditorio de la ENAP, a las 17:00 horas.
El festival Poliniza nació de la iniciativa de Juan Buautista Peiró, con el fin de ahondar en el interés que el fenómeno graffiti tiene desde la década de los ochenta y en la necesidad de explorar los límites e intervenir significativamente en los espacios públicos.
Para Juan A. Canales, los jóvenes expresan una fascinación por pintar en las paredes, lo cual reivindica la necesidad por participar en la gestión y uso de los espacios públicos. Y agrega que el graffiti urbano ha evolucionado durante casi tres décadas, gracias a los intereses comerciales y estéticos. “Sin embargo, esta expresión también es la autoafirmación de quienes son minoría, la búsqueda del respeto y el reconocimiento; de manera que posee un sentido de subcultura para colectivos marginales o disidentes del sistema establecido”.
El Museo Universitario del Chopo, en coordinación con la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas, la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, España y la Embajada de España en México, presentan Valencia Poliniza México que se llevará a cabo del viernes 28 de septiembre al viernes 5 de octubre de 2007. El graffiti de gran formato permanecerá en exhibición del viernes 5 de octubre al viernes 14 de diciembre de 2007.
