This exhibition is a partial survey of Latino/a printmakers from the Chicago area who have a
connection to Pilsen. This connection is defined by having exhibited, collaborated, worked or
lived in the neighborhood. The energy and breath of this mostly Mexican immigrant
community has been the source of inspiration for some of these artists. Others explore more
personal ground, mostly through figurative languages. Artists:

This exhibition is part of the Southern Graphics Conference (SGC) in Chicago March 25-
29, 2009. The SGC is being sponsored by Columbia College Chicago and it includes
over 40 exhibitions about printmaking in addition to lectures, demonstrations, etc.
